Pray for Nigeria

Dear friends, most especially NIGERIANS, since last two months, I have been tormenting within myself in a situation we find ourselves in Nigeria today.
Things are getting worst and cost of things are growing higher everyday every second. Now we heard that our economy is in RECESSION. One dollar is now N420,
I am writing this message NOT to criticize or condemn anybody but to tell us what we can do NOW to make things better and bearable for us in Nigerians. The price of Rice and other foods stuffs are growing higher. People are suffering in one way or the other. Many people could not sleep as a result of hungry and starvation they were experience.
It is time for us to join hands in prayers to seek the face of God in UNITY, to intervene to our situation here in Nigeria. The way I am see things now, I am fear for the masses who cannot boast of 1,000 naira a day. I believe if we call and seek God wholeheartedly in humility and sincerity, HE will intervene and show our leaders what to do in order to end this growing hardship.
When the people of Samaria experience great famine, the Bible make it clear that, "And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver. And as the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman unto him, saying, Help, my lord, O king.
And he said, If the LORD do not help thee, whence shall I help thee? out of the barnfloor, or out of the winepress? And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son to morrow. So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son.And it came to pass, when the king heard the words of the woman, that he rent his clothes; and he passed by upon the wall, and the people looked, and, behold, he had sackcloth within upon his flesh." 2 Kings 6:25-30
If you understand the above Bible passage very well you will discover that:
The King said to the woman, IF GOD DID NOT HELP YOU WHO I'M TO HELP YOU?
With my spiritual understanding, the earthly king make it clear that it is ONLY GOD that can intervene to the situation where people had been boiled their children for food. The response of this king make it clear that, he allow GOD to intervene to the great famine that confront his nation.
In the first verse of chapter 7 of the same 2 Kings, the Bible recorded that, Prophet Elisha prophesied and proclaim surplus to the Samaria.
"Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria."
Having seen the change in the king’s disposition, even though it were a change to despondency, rather than trust, Elisha in the name of the Lord gives a solemn assurance that help is nigh. This he does in the presence of the elders who had been sitting with him, and of those persons who had come in the king’s retinue.
To God be the glory, the following day, GOD change the situation and everything become normal and people were enjoying and but things in cheapest price.
"And the people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD." 2 Kings 7:16
Dear Nigerians, you can see how God intervene and end the great famine that faced Samaria by then.
God can do more than this to Nigeria if ONLY we can join hands and seek HIM for solution. Nigeria is our home, Nigeria is our nation, Nigeria is ONLY place we can boast as our nation as far as this world is concern. Let us join hands in prayer and pray to God to visit us in this country and end this famine.
