Understanding Your Present Condition

Bible Reading: 2 Kings 6:1-2

 “And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us. Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye.” 2 Kings 6:1-2

One of the greatest mistakes you can make now is to fail to understand your present situation. Thousands of people are living below expectation as result of lacking the present condition. The position you are now is not where God meant for you, is either you put yourself there or ignorant to be there.

The sons of the Prophets in our text discovered that the place they were dwell is not conducive, they need to expand it. Nobody told them, they discovered that there present condition should be expired. “The place where we meet with you is too small for us” NIV

Do you see your present house too small for you to dwell? Is your business enough to take care of your present finances? Are you in the right position where you should be? Are you in God’s plan and purpose for your life and ministry?

The sons of Prophet told their master that they need expansion- enlargement as a result of discovery of their present situation. They see need for enlargement and expansion for their ministry.

Abraham and Lot - Abraham and Lot discovered that there is need for them to enlarge and expansion. Both agree and they took the step – Genesis 13:7-9.

“…And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren. Is not the whole land before thee? Separate yourself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.” Genesis 13:7-9

Until you see that it is enough for you to dwell where you are to expand or look for another place you may not fulfill your purpose. How do you see where you live now? Is it conducive? Is your spiritual life need to be enlarged? Have you ever notice that your business/work need to be enlarge? Think of it now!

The Woman with 12 Years Predicaments - The woman with issue of blood for twelve years discovered her present condition that needs urgent solution.

“And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, if I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.” Matthew 9:20-22

Can you imagine and how this woman had been tormenting with infirmity for 12 years? She spent everything she have to get heal but resulted in vain. However, the very moment she discovered the Physician she needed to be heal, she instantly thought within herself and took the right step. The woman realizes that her present condition is not for her, she took a bold step and she overcomes the situation.

The present situation in the world today is a time of preparation for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. You must aware of this! You must discover this and take the necessary steps to move closer to God in holiness, faithfulness, righteousness and sincerity of heart. Prepare yourself for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is the beginning of wisdom that will make you reign with Him in His eternal Kingdom.

“And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: To the end he may establish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.” 1 Thessalonians 3:13-14 , Read: 1 Thess.1:10, 2:19

Prayer Bombs for Today

1.       Father, wash my heart clean with the Blood of Jesus

2.      Father have your way in my life and enlarge me in the name of Jesus

3.      Father, give me the spirit of understanding and wisdom to know the next step for me to take.

4.      This year is my year of enlargement and expansion in the name of Jesus

5.      Father, expand my territory with your mercy in the name of Jesus

6.      Father, let heaven of enlargement open upon my life, ministry, marriage, business and work in the name of Jesus

7.      Father, destroy every activities of demonic forces that enlarge their selves against me in the name of Jesus

8.     Father, release your voice of enlargement into my ministry – shop – office in the name of Jesus

9.      Father in your mercy, reverse and turn-around to testimony, every peer-rejection and reproach mocking me at the edge of my breakthrough, in the name of Jesus

10.  Every failure that painted my life ugly and unfavorable be converted by mercy of God into irreproachable success in the name of Jesus

11.   Every power slandering my glory and reputation your time is up: carry your evil load and die in shame of your evil slander in Jesus name.

12.  By the power that catapult Esther the poor orphan into Esther the Queen of Persia, O God Arise and promote me with Your help according to your mercy in the name of Jesus
