Take Heed Lest You Fall

Take Heed Lest You Fall
There are those in the denominational world who say that you can not fall from God’s grace and be lost.  There are some in the Lord’s church who also by their actions don’t think they can fall from grace and be lost or they don’t really care.  They have become complacent.  The Bible says, “Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall” (1 Corinthians 10:12).  Satan promotes all kinds of false doctrines to keep people from obeying the gospel such as salvation by faith only and infant baptism in order to keep people lost.  Those in the denominational world cannot fall from God’s grace because they were never in it.  They were never saved.  One cannot fall from where he has never been.  Only the saved who the Lord has added to His church can fall from God’s grace.  Satan works on the saved in the Lord’s church to get us to fall from grace so we will be lost.
The Lord knows there will be some of His children who were saved but will desert Him and be lost.  “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron” (1 Timothy 4:1-2).  Notice when one leaves the Lord, he allows his conscience to be seared with a hot iron.  The longer he remains unfaithful the more his conscience becomes seared and the more difficult it will be for him to return.

It is sad to see brethern slide off into unfaithfulness.  “For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning” (2 Peter 2:20).  Those in the Lord’s kingdom, which is His church, who become unfaithful, will be cast into the burning fires of Hell.  “The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 13:41-42).
We must stay in Christ and remain faithful to Him if we expect to be saved.  Jesus says, “If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned” (John 15:6).  Brethren will be lost “having condemnation because they have cast off their first faith” (1 Timothy 5:12).  Do many people really believe that there will be a real Heaven and a real Hell?  Many live as they don’t believe it.  It is sad to see brethren who are faithful most of their lives, but later fall away.
How can we protect ourselves from falling away?  We are to take heed to the word of God, “by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:2). We must hold on to the word of God by regular Bible study.  We increase our faith by the study of God’s word (Romans 10:17).  We must keep God’s word fresh in our minds and faithfully walk in it so we can go to Heaven. “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).  Notice if we are to have the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse us from all sin that we commit as a Christian, we must be both walking in the light of God’s word and having fellowship with one another.
To “have fellowship one with another” we must be faithfully worshiping God with the church.  This is the reason we are commanded, “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching.  For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation…It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:25-27, 31).  We should exhort and plead with those who are about to fall away or who have fallen away.
“Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins” (James 5:19-20).  It is a joyful occasion to see the unfaithful restored.  As long as a person is alive there is hope that he can be won back, but we must try.  No one in the Lord’s church is immune from falling away.  “Brethern, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in the spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted” (Galatians 6:1).  If we fell away we would certainly want someone to help restore us.  We must do it in a spirit of meekness.

Brethren fall away because they become weak in faith and because of unbelief.  “Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called ‘Today,’ lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin” (Hebrews 3:12-13).  One who has fallen away must, “Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works” (Revelation 2:5).

To protect ourselves from falling away, “Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall” (Hebrews 4:11).  We are encouraged to, “Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure” (2 Peter 1:10).  We must be diligent in our striving to go to Heaven.  “Beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:17-18).  We must continue to grow spiritually so we can remain faithful.  If we do we are promised by the Lord, “Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life” (Revelation 2:10).  By Ron Boatwright

This World Is Not My Home

This World Is Not My Home
As the words of the song say, “This world is not my home; I’m just a passing thru.  My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue”.  Jesus says, “Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (Matthew 6:20-21).  We must lay up our treasures in heaven, not here on the earth.  The Bible says, “And as it is appointed for man to die once, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).  When we draw our last breath, what we have accumulated here on the earth belongs to someone else.  After we die our fate is sealed and we will be judged.

Life here on earth is so temporary and short.  Life passes so quickly.  James 4:14 says, “Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow.  For what is your life?  It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”  Many people are living their lives as though they will live forever here on the earth.  One day this earth and all of its possessions will be burned up.  No one knows when this will be.  “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.  Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness” (2 Peter 3:10-11).

As the words of the song continue to say, “If heaven is not my home, then Lord what will I do?”  For the vast majority of people, heaven will not be their home (Matthew 7:13-14).  Their home will be a real and living hell in which they will be tormented day and night forever and ever in burning fire and brimstone (Revelation 20:10, 15). But for the few whose home is heaven, “God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.  There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4).

The apostle Paul was longing to leave this world and go home to heaven.  He says, “For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.  Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you…For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:23-24, 3:20).

As mortal human beings we cannot begin to imagine how great and wonderful heaven will be.  We cannot comprehend its glory.  We have, “an inheritance incorruptible and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you” (1 Peter 1:4), “knowing that you have a better and enduring possession for yourselves in heaven” (Hebrews 10:34).  As human beings we are eternal in that we live forever and ever in one of two places.  Our home will be either heaven or hell.  We make the choice as to where we will go.  If one is not preparing to go to heaven he will end up in hell.  Our number one goal in this life must be for heaven to be our home.  No one will accidentally go to heaven.

Bible Reading:
“And Jesus, when He was baptized, went up straightway out of the water; and, lo, the heavens were opened unto Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon Him; And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:16-17
FILLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT is second thing that guarantee your success this year and years to come. There are many gods worshiped throughout the world, but there is only one true God. The Holy Bible contains the story of this true God. The Bible is the Word of God which reveals His special plan for all mankind.
One of the things the Bible reveals is that God has a triune nature. This means His personality is revealed in three different forms. He is three persons, yet one God. The Holy Spirit is part of the triune nature of God which consists of the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The three personalities are united as one in the Godhead.
Each part of the Trinity...the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit...have special functions on behalf of mankind.
The following are the major reasons why you can only succeed when the Holy Spirit is embed in you:
 Holy Spirit is OMNIPRESENT: This means He is present everywhere: Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? (Psalms 139:7)

 Holy Spirit is OMNISCIENT: This means He knows all things: But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. (I Corinthians 2:10-11)

 Holy Spirit is OMNIPOTENT: This means the Holy Spirit is all powerful: God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God. (Psalms 62:11) But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you... (Acts 1:8)

 Holy Spirit is ETERNAL: This means He is everlasting. He had no beginning and will have no ending: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:14) The eternal nature of the Holy Spirit can be illustrated by a circle. The circle has no starting or ending points, yet it exists.

 Holy Spirit SEARCHES OUT THE HUMAN MIND: But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (I Corinthians 2:10)

 Holy Spirit HAS A WILL: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He will. (I Corinthians 12:11). The will of the Holy Spirit guides believers by denying and granting permission for certain actions, Acts 16:6-7 and Acts 16:10 respectively.

 Holy Spirit SPEAKS: He spoke to Philip: Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. (Acts 8:29) He spoke to Peter, (Acts 10:19, Acts 13:2).

 Holy Spirit INTERCEDES: One of the personality traits of the Holy Spirit is that He is an intercessor. This means He prays to God on behalf of others, (Romans 8:26).

 You are the temple of God: “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (I Corinthians 3:16)

 Holy Spirit Guarantee You as a Child of God: “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.” Romans 8:9.

 Holy Spirit is THE SPIRIT OF PROMISE: The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of promise because He is the Spirit that was sent to fulfill the promise of God: And being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which saith, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. (Acts 1:4-5).

 Holy Spirit TEACHES You: But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him. (I John 2:27).

 Holy Spirit CONVICTS You of Sin: It is the Holy Spirit that convicts of sin to draw men and women to Jesus. You could not become a believer without this ministry of the Spirit: And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to My Father and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. (John 16:8-11)

 Holy Spirit REGENERATES: The Holy Spirit changes your life when you become a believer: Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. (Titus 3:5, John 3:3-7)

 Holy Spirit SANCTIFIES: The Holy Spirit takes this life which has been changed by salvation and enables righteous living: But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth... (II Thessalonians 2:13)

 You can DEMONSTRATES GOD'S POWER: And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power; That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. (I Corinthians 2:4-5)

15. Holy Spirit, search for me and connect me with my destiny triggers in the name of Jesus.

Heaven Open

Bible Reading: Luke 3:21-22

“Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.” Luke 3:21-22

The heaven opened for Jesus Christ before He was announced. Heaven is the dwelling place of God. Deut. 26:15, 1Kings 8:30, 2Chronicles 30:27, Luke 11:2, Acts 7:49

It is a place where the earth is rules. Everything on earth is originated from heaven. Only those that experience open heaven can manifest the glory of God on earth. Every human being is living under heaven but the heaven must open.

Prophet Isaiah makes it clear that, everyone must cry unto God for open heaven.

“Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence! When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.” Isaiah 64:1-3

The words “rend” in the above scripture means to “tear open, to rip to pieces, to part." As a Christian, we can stimulate the heart of God to open the windows of heaven for blessing in our lives. It is our responsibilities to inspire and stimulate our heavenly Father (God) for open heaven. We cannot achieve or fulfill our dreams as long as we lives or operate under close heaven. Heaven must open for us to experiences the promises of God for our life.

In the above Scriptures, Prophet Isaiah was crying unto God to tear heaven, to open it. When the heaven is open, or tear open, many unusual things happens. If haven close, nothing good happens

ü When the heaven open, God comes down and manifest His greatness
ü The mountain will flow down. Mountains symbolize obstacles, hindrances, stumbling block, barriers, etc.
ü You see heavenly vision – Acts 7:56
ü You see and know who you are.
ü You will receive new and great things – Acts 10:11-12
ü Divine voice announce you – Matthew 17:5
ü The heaven speak on your behalf
ü You hear the next thing to do in order to fulfill your purpose
ü You are no longer inferior.
ü God pour His blessings – Malachi 3:8-10
ü Your name is announce – Acts 10:11-13
ü  Divine power bestow upon you – Luke 3:22. You receive power to function.
ü Your prayer is answer

Beloved, heaven cannot open for anyone until you position yourself and applying the principles. Those that experienced open heaven in the Scriptures applying the keys and they see result. Therefore you must kin and keep to the following principles:

v Obedience: the first principle is obedience to God – Deut. 28:1-2, 12

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.” Deut 8:1-2

There are several promises of God for every believer, and these promises have principles or rules. You cannot just earn God’s promises without obeying the rules. Deuteronomy chapter 28 started with the condition or what you must do in order to experiences the promises in verses 2 to 14. The key word in the verses is OBEDIENCE.

Now, let combine the verses together to see how your obedience will open heaven for you:

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.” Deut.28:1, 12.

Do you see how your obedience will open heaven for you? Well, let me show you another verses in the Scripture:

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3:10

The above verse of the Scripture is a command with promises. God said, bring all your tithes into the storehouse (house of God-church). When you bring it, then I will open the windows of heaven and pour out blessing unto your work, business, job, marriage, academic, etc. There is no room that will be enough to accumulate the blessings that God will pour unto you if you pay ALL your TITHES.

Your obedience to the Scripture is the key to blessing of God. Since you had been enjoying the blessing of God through this ministry, how much have you contribute to the ministry? How much of your TITHE you have paid to this ministry? Pay your TITHE to this ministry is obedience to God and His blessing will pour unto you.

v Praying: The second principle for heaven to open for you is praying attitudes.  If you truly want to see the heavens open over your business, job, marriage, family, ministry, school and nation, it is going involve you in series of genuine fervent prayers. Consistent and persistent in prayer is our responsibility for us to experience open heaven. The Bible makes it clear that, when Jesus was praying, the heaven opened unto Him. “… it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.”

When Jesus was PRAYING, the heaven opened. The heaven was NOT open when Jesus is PLAYING. Praying and Playing are two different things, and person must engage in one at a particular time. In other words, is either you are PRAYING or you are PLAYING. Mind you, both have reward. The reward of PRAYING is that the heaven will open, while result of PLAYING is that the heaven will close. Be wise!

Apostle Peter is another man that heaven opened unto him when he was praying.

“…Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour: And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth: Wherein were all manner of four-footed beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.” Acts 10:9-13

Peter was in the housetop praying and the heaven opened unto him. Peter was alone in the housetop, he was hungry. Your spiritual hunger for the spiritual things is avenue for you to receive unusual things from heaven. Not only that the heaven is opened unto Peter, but a voice came from heaven and instructed him what to do. Be alone with God in fervent and persistent in prayer have a long way for your success this year.

Prophet Isaiah is another man that prayed in the Scripture and the heaven opened. “Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence! When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.” Isaiah 64:1-3.

Prophet Isaiah major concern in his prayer unto God is for heaven to be open. He lamented and crying unto God. His persistent and committed in prayer for open heaven is unusual in the Bible.
