Recover Your Lost: 3 Things You Must Not Do

3 Things You Should Not Do If You Want to Recover Your Lost Things

Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 30:1-10

What happened to Bible University site early this year is another experienced that one should have in his journey. With attacked I learned many things which I will never forget in my life, and I believe you too have such.

It is true that the enemy attacked the site and we cannot access it for the purpose it created for. However we thank God for His gracious support over everyone of us during and after of the evil incident.  During the time of the attacked, I learned some things needed for every Christians to kin with when he or she lost one thing or the other.

As I am study the incident that happened to King David in the Bible when the enemies invaded his house and took away his wives, children and properties, I realized that, there things I should not do and things as should in a period like that. Therefore, this message is for you and is for me. Kindly read it and kin to the truths therein.

There are numerous things you should not do in order to recover all your lost things, but I‘m going to share with you only three that are important. They are:

1.      Don’t Trade With Satan
Satan is the enemy of God and enemy of man, and he will remain as your enemy till end of your life. The only mission of Satan is to steal, kill and destroy – John 10:10a.
There is no where it was written in the Bible that we should play or trade with Satan, thereby there is no reason you should joke or trade with him. You are commanded to fight him. You have been authorized to war against him and he will flee from you. You are a child of God, and your Father has defeated him on the Cross at Calvary more than 2,000 years ago. You are NOT his mate and have nothing to do with him than to confront him with the word of God.

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.James 4:7

“Put on the whole armour of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walked about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” 1Peter 5:8-9

In his book title: the Brief Exposition of Satanism, Demonism and Spiritism, Paul LR Oost said: “Satan enjoys a lively debate (like the one he carried on with Eve in Genesis 3), but he cannot tolerate being resisted. A word of caution here:  never discuss things with Satan or his associates.  Eve made this mistake, and we all know the sad consequences. Also, never try to fight Satan in your own way.  Resist him the way Jesus did, with the word of God (Matthew 4:1-11).”

The greatest mistake you can make is for you to beg Satan or trade with him. You do not exist to fold your hands and watch the enemy to attack you. You are to resist the enemy with the whole armour of God, the word of God and the Blood of Jesus.

In the beginning of our Lord Jesus Christ earthly ministry, He resisted Satan without miss a word. Jesus confronted Satan with authority given to Him by the Father through His holy words.

“And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. And the devil, taking him ups into a high mountain, showed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, all this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shall worship the Lord thy God, and him only shall thou serve. And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him; if thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee to keep thee: And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. And Jesus answering said unto him, it is said, Thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God. And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.” Luke 4:3-13

2.     Don’t Seek For Alternative
Seeking for alternative to solve or overcome your problems should forbid. Bow down for devil and his agents is as a result of seeking for alternative to overcome any challenges or problems you may have facing or confronting you. The first King of Israel sought for alternative to overcome his problem and he ended bow down for idol.

“Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor. And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee… Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night… Now therefore, I pray thee, hearken thou also unto the voice of thine handmaid, and let me set a morsel of bread before thee; and eat, that thou mayest have strength, when thou goest on thy way. But he refused, and said, I will not eat. But his servants, together with the woman, compelled him; and he hearkened unto their voice. So he arose from the earth, and sat upon the bed. And the woman had a fat calf in the house; and she hasted, and killed it, and took flour, and kneaded it, and did bake unleavened bread thereof: And she brought it before Saul, and before his servants; and they did eat. Then they rose up, and went away that night.” 1Samuel 28:5-25

King Saul not only bows down for satanic agent but he also ate in her food. An anointed king by God became a king that ate on the table of Satan. What a terrible deeds he involved himself!

Thousands of people are King Saul of their generations; they seek for herbalists, false prophets and false teachers, fake pastors and demonic leaders for the solutions to their calamities. They neglect the way of God for provisions and protections. They decided to embrace the way of evil that leads to destruction and eternal doom.

There is no permanent problem! Problems have solutions no matter how long or how serious the problem may look like. A child of God is a light and salt to his or her generation. Carry the image of God in us to the shrine and demonic altar is an abomination before God. Beloved, never allow the challenges you are passing through to derail you from God. Jesus Christ remains the only solution to all problems that may confront humanity. The root of the problems that humanity is facing had been defeated and conquered by Jesus Christ through His death on the Cross.

“Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28; Mark 10.45).
Jesus has authority over everything that exists on earth and in heaven – Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

3.     Don’t Kill Yourself With Negative Thoughts
The third thing you should not do is killing yourself with negative thoughts. It is a common habit that people involve in negative thinking when they are facing one challenge or the other. Due to the problem facing husband, wife can involve in negative thinking that can lead to sudden death through high blood pressure. Many death recorded in our society today is as a result of high blood pressure.

Mind you, crying cannot deliver you from your challenge nor weeping can solve your problem. Instead of engaging yourself with sadness, negative thoughts or evil meditating, make yourself rejoice in the Lord as Apostle Paul commanded us – Philippians 4:4. The more you are crying the more you adding more sorrow to your predicaments. Instead of crying and weeping to man, cry unto God for intervention. He knows everything about your situation; He knows where the problems come from. Despite your unfaithful to Him, He is faithful to deliver you.

There is news of people that hanged themselves because they have tired of their predicaments. Instead to run to Jesus for salvation and permanent solution to their problem, they decided to kill themselves. Anyone that hanged himself is a murderer and no murderer will enter heaven unless he or she repents before he/she die.

Beloved, run to Jesus for solution, pray unto Him and He will surely answer you. God said: “Call upon me I will answer you”,

Go on your knee now, cry unto God for mercy, and pray to Him for favour and intervention.
God will answer you in Jesus name, Amen!
