What:

Obedience is the first duty of a child. It is not just listening to instructions but following them in humility, respect, and love. Obedience builds trust and strengthens family bonds.

Why:

God attaches blessings to obedience. Children who obey their parents receive divine favor, long life, and success. In contrast, disobedience leads to rebellion, strife, and premature loss of destiny.

How:

• By honoring and respecting parents (Proverbs 1:8–9).
• By submitting to correction and discipline without pride.
• By aligning one’s choices with God’s Word.
• By being humble and willing to learn.

The Blessings of Obedient Children (Biblical Promises):

1. Long Life: “That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.” (Ephesians 6:3)
2. Peace and Well-Being: Obedience brings harmony in the home (Colossians 3:20).
3. Divine Favor: Obedient children attract the blessings of God upon their lives.
4. Good Success: They enjoy direction and prosperity because they heed wise counsel (Proverbs 6:20–23).
5. Generational Blessing: Obedient children become obedient parents who raise godly generations.

Prayer Points:

1. Father, thank You for the gift of obedience that brings blessings.
2. Lord, give me a humble heart that honors and obeys parents and authority.
3. Father, let me never bring sorrow to my parents but joy and comfort.

7. Father, make me a channel of generational blessing through obedience.
