Don't Lend That!

DON'T LEND THAT!

READ PROVERBS 6:1-5

MEMORIZE: A man lacking judgment strikes hand in pledge and put up surety for his neighbour (Prov. 17:19).

Proverbs 4:7 is a favourite Scripture: Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Being powerful or rich without wisdom is piling up treasures for an unknown person.

Proverbs is replete with wisdom nuggets for anyone who desire fulfillment in life.

Do not wait till life teaches you in the hard way before you learn wisdom. Many people in their day-to-day affairs have ruined themselves with indebtedness of the money they never spent!

Beloved, whatever you are not in charge, do not give. If you are not the direct owner of a thing or money, do not be tempted to lend it. By so doing, you are mortgaging your future. You must have heard it said. Do not lend out what you
cannot give outright.

One other way of finding yourself in an enmeshed future is by standing as a surety. It is dangerous especially when you stand for someone you do not know very well (Prov. 11:15; 20:16; 27:13).

Read the content of agreements and guarantor's form very well before appending your signature. Ask questions before committing yourself, if need be. Do not engage in business transactions or delve into unfamiliar terrains. Experience has taught many to be on the edge. That will not be your portion, in Jesus' name.

Wisdom and a discerning spirit are what you need today and all days. It is possible for the living water, God's Word. Don't joke with it.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. I refuse to die before my time as a result of foolish decisions, in Jesus' name.

2. Lord, endow me with the discerning spirit that sounds an alarm whenever I am about to miss it.

3. Hosts of heaven, ward off evil and associates from me.

4. Every evil agreement against my life, marriage, business, job, academic, work and ministry

5. I will not be a victim of satanic tools in JESUS name

6. I receive the mighty power that sufficient for my breakthrough, in Jesus name
