1:13-23
“13
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the
grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14 As obedient
children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your
ignorance:
15 But
as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of
conversation;
16
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
17 And
if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judged according to
every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
18
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as
silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your
fathers;
19 But
with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without
spot:
20 Who
verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in
these last times for you,
21 Who
by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory;
that your faith and hope might be in God.
22
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto
unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart
fervently:
23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of
God, which liveth and abided forever.
24 For
all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The
grass withered, and the flower thereof falleth away:
25 But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
There
is no doubt that more has been said about the present situation in the world.
However, as many nations are still under lockdown and isolation, it is highly
better for everyone to continue to focus on our spiritual lives in terms of
growing, developing as well as maintain our body. Our self-examination should
be our first priority – how we are using our body which is the temple of the
living God.
The
following are spiritual actions that everybody should involve as we are doing
the physical actions given to us by the government, health personnel as well as
our authority in various denominations or local churches:
§
Wash
your heart and maintaining holiness at all cost – Leviticus 11:44-45. Your heart is the source
of your whole life, and you should make it clean all the times, never allow
anything to pollute it and maintain holiness at all cost because of our God is
holy and He expects nothing less than holiness from us. 1 Corinthians
3:16-17.
§ Avoid the crowd of wickedness and the wicked
people – Psalm 1:1-5.
Keep social distance from evil and his co-workers should be maintaining all the
times. Every second in our daily lives we are meeting and relating with people
in from different angles, you should never allow the crowd of wickedness to
pollute you. The Bible commanded us to flee away immorality – 1
Corinthians 6:18-20. Different people are out there to offer you
different things, but be mindful of what they offer you. The congregation of
the wicked shall be surely destroyed that’s the word of God. Numbers
14:36-37. Proverbs 21:16
§ Guide and protect your mind from being
infected by the sneeze of sins – Proverbs 23:11, 1 Peter 1:14, Isaiah 58:11. Any part
of our body can be used to infected by the sneeze of sins, that is why we must
guide and protect our mind from evil thoughts than can pollute the whole body.
Let your thinking go along with the word of God.
§ Do not shake hands with abomination, never hug
heresy and false teaching – Exodus 23:1, Proverbs 17:11, Matthew 7:15, 24:11, 24,
2Cor.11:13-15. The present COVID-19 pandemic has brought and open way for many
people to deceive people, and ignorantly people believe them. Mind you, the
word of God commanded us not to hug heresy or follow false teachings. That’s
why you should study your bible very well, listen to the voice of God and
always obey Him.
§ Sanitize yourself with the word of God – Joshua 1:8. Study and meditate in the word of
God is a powerful tool to sanitize yourself. The word of God is life, fire and
water. The word of God triggers you to be a living soul that lives forever. The
holy word of God serves as fire to consume any seed of evil within your body,
and it is water to wash you clean all the time. Psalms 119:97, 148, Psalms
1:1-2, 63:6, 77:12, 143:5, 1 Timothy 4:15
§ Addicting in boost your spiritual immunity
with faith and the power of the Holy Spirit – Mark 9:23, Acts 1:8. Many powers
are out there to do undo and making things useless, but a child of God who
desires to overcome the present pandemic must boost his or her spiritual life
through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the only power that is
dependable, reliable, avoidable and available all the time anywhere. It is
unshakable power that shakes everything and all things all the times.
§ Examine yourself daily – 2 Corinthians 13:5. Examine
personal life is a golden rule for Christian daily living. Don’t go to bed
without examining yourself. Evaluate your daily doings. Ask yourself is my
today doings acceptable unto God? Is my spiritual obligation fulfil today? In which
area I need amendment? What can I do tomorrow if God permits me? All these and
other related questions should be our meditating before will sleep every day.
